I’ve never read it but from the spoilers I don’t think it’s worth it when I mean it’s bad. It’s bad supposedly in the novel he brutally rapes, beats and breaks his fingers and leaves him for dead in the snow. After all that he supposedly has character development, but he’s still a fucking abusive rapist. I don’t think it’s worth it. You can’t turn into a green flag if you are rapist once a rapist always a rapist

Well I'll spoil it for you bc his redemption arc is really worth it. Zhenya later moved to s.korea for taekjoo, working as russian ambassador. He became close to taekjoo's mom despite the obvious language barriers, zhenya being very patient with taekjoo who's superrrr busy with his work (taekjoo literally walk him like a dog, zhenya became a puppy who's always waiting for his owner lol). Even when Taekjoo lost his memories and betrayed by his boss, everyone thought he died but zhenya doesn't believe it so he went to find taekjoo himself. Overall even zhenya was surprised how tamed he was when he's with taekjoo.

For taekjoo, zhenya is the only person who he can show his weakness bc zhenya will always save him whenever he's in danger (taekjoo at first won't admit that bc he's independent and all that). Taekjoo admits that all his relationships b4 he met zhenya ended bc of how focused he was with his work but somehow zhenya still try to find a way for them to spend more time together. After the ajinoki island arc, there's barely any scenes (as far as i remember). Taekjoo sometimes even initiate the act himself and that surprised zhenya too djjdj. It might not be the most normal and fluffy bls but zhenya's love language is by protecting taekjoo.

Please give it a try, and the continuation novel called nameless star is really worth it.

Also about zhenya breaking taekjoo's finger, he specifically choose the ring finger. It's his own, twisted ways of sealing their fates together. Zhenya was raised by men who's super brutal and their family doesn't care about each other (except for his half sister, olga she's pretty normal). I'm not excusing all that he did but taekjoo really taught him to be human（/TДT)/

I don't blame you for feeling this way, when i first read the manhwa only, i was scared of zhenya even as someone who enjoys hardcore/psychological yaoi you will understand why people eventually falls in love with zhenya later after his redemption arc ╮(￣▽￣)╭

People can be interested in these stories for the tension,drama I mean srsly wouldn’t watching horror/gory movies technically be “wrong,dark” but it doesn’t mean people enjoy others getting hurt. Reading true crime doesn’t mean you sympathize with the serial killer. Please think about what you say to others before posting.
