I kinda love how Mio’s relationship with Ash is right now. He’s Ash’s platonic friend, he loves her as is, a different love compared to the other two but he clearly treasures her dearly. Love the “if you can’t marry anyone I’ll marry you instead” troupe too. He’s not staying with Ash cause he loves her like the other two and I don’t think he will stay with her right now if he was not duty bound to the prince. Yes he’ll visit her from time to time but I don’t think he’ll actively seek her companionship everyday if theyre not married. He has his own set of morals and really feels like his own person. Personally, I just think that its such a beautiful and very realistic portrayal of a relationship. I hope it stays that way.
