Everyone's trauma from abuse manifests differently... That said... I grew up in an abusive Asian household. I was forced to grow up quicker than I should have because my family used me as a scapegoat when my dad was angry. For 14 years I lived like that, and now looking back on it 8 years later, I had an easier time trusting people because I wanted to believe that they'll give me affection.
The twins are mentally 23 years old, but they could be like some other 20 year olds out there, older than me, who still act like children. They're right to be wary, but I can't help but feel a lot of their reactions are manufactured for the sake of story drama. That's not my cup of tea but it makes sense from a writer's PoV, more drama = longer story and engagement.
That said, I've already dropped this story, just came back to see if anything new and interesting happened. Like them growing up and matching their mental age.
Eye candy and nothing else, this title is as hollow as my soul. If you're looking for deep introspection, this ain't it sis, buuut it is pretty.
AHAHA EXACTLY. They should have AT LEAST tried to find a better and suitable name for it. It would be better to call it “Chloe”, cause they only say “Beatrice” like 5 times or less( ̄∇ ̄")
Why? I think the title might be fine. Even if she is mainly called Chloe now, maybe she will return to become 'Beatrice' again, since she is originally of royalty.
When I was talking about title I was really just refering to this "title", as in "this story" (
╹◡╹)... I don't care for the title itself, Manhwas these days all have ridiculous stupid titles that don't fit. I just thought this story was hollow. Granted, Chloe would be a better title because that is who she is, she isn't Beatrice at heart, she was born as Chloe, and she now lives as Chloe. The ghost of Beatrice and Beatrice's status is a threat to her life rn
Hm... Okay, I understand now what you mean. The again, even if she's Chloe right now, the name beatrice might fit her still quite well given the meaning behind that name ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beatrice_(given_name))
