I would personally love that because it’s more psychological and uke would be free from the self hatred and loneliness he feels and would also open up the ability for a reincarnation arc where both characters can be free of their shackles

Exactly a reincarnation arc where yeonjo is blessed with with his family still with him and super fortunate circumstances and the ML is in the unfavorable position but they end up together would be perfect

the first chapter ends by revealing that mc isn’t the father’s real son, but the murderer of his son. they were classmates and mc left his son to die in a fit of bitter jealousy, which he lived to regret. father hated mc all this time despite their idyllic front, and has been plotting revenge all this time—specifically, “how can i make him feel what it’s like to lose someone you love?” and eventually, he concludes that because he himself is the one mc loves most (sexually, romantically and familially), he kills himself in front of mc. story ends with mc being found over father’s dead body, telling the police that he killed his father (in order to “complete the revenge”, out of guilt over killing his real son + devotion to the father)

no problem! though technically no one won, because the father seemingly grew to feel for the mc (it’s debatable whether this is sexual or not in nature) and had several moments where he struggled to follow through with his revenge and would eventually back out. but in the end he was too consumed by his self-imposed promise of revenge to be able to reach any other conclusion.
