i feel like ren zhichu broke up with him because he probably thinks he doesn't deserve to be with shen chen anymore bc he didn't pass the entrance exam after all the help shen chen did for his studies but.... everything happened too quickly i just wish the author will show like a flashback of what really happened as we go along the story for this season
I thought the same or maybe because the family of Ren was homophobic and against their relationship. His father particulary, I like his mom during first season lol
