Yeah I been thinking of why he would kill his parents.
I thought his parents were rebels, but someone told me that the captain’s parents were supporters of the emperor’s shxt father and evil stepmother (you know, the ones who put him in a prison, tortured him and sent him off to the batterfield when he was still a boy after his mom died). So when the emperor killed his parents, he also killed all their supporters, meaning the captain’s parents .

No matter who you replied to, it’s a little over the top. Nobody said he was wrong or bad for hating the emperor. But he is still considered a bad guy since he’s actively helping the rebels. It is what it is.
