The novel was like this tbh. Yet i was more into the novel than the manhwa. Their expressions weren't as childish
It was more "serious" here they over exagerate the expressions the characters make
the novel doesn't change the story that much but the webtoon does feel rushed and skips a lot of the original story. It also feels way too childlish compared to the novem.

And also for example, in the novel there is an entire scene where the carriage glorym was in gets knocked down by the springwater bandits and one of them finds the baby and gets so happy bc he'll take her to his wife and finally be a father. The scene is so sweet and the webtoon just cut it

I think you should re-read the series, just to get things straight. He didn't find out recently that him and Sera aren't related.
He found out she's not the ceo's daughter.
They were never related to begin with. His father and the ceo were best friends, then his father died and the ceo took him in as a way to show respect for his late best friend.
So, to summarize, they weren't raised as siblings and they do not share a single drop of blood.
