See, this right here I like. No needless bullying or dehumanizing language. Toto doesn’t deny that Masa is a dom even if he is a switch. He doesn’t try to pigeon-hole him into being his sub. It’s a shame they’ve been incredibly tame, but at the very least the author put thought into why that would be happening.

I mean like… this is a weird premise lol. From the beginning it looked more like the only girls he got were shallow and that was bothering him more than anything else. He even said he was making decent money but wanted to make sure the girls were having a good time too. Seemed like a pretty nice guy but the commentary from Kanamori makes it seem like Mao is this self-centered guy that doesn’t care at all.
Shit like this is why I hate people. Why does anyone care how this dude acts in real life? No one is “just being themselves” when they are working. And VTubing is a job. I hate people that develop crazy parasocial relationships like this. Nobody owes you anything just because you like the character they play online.
I mean if there is a vtuber that you relate to a lot but only to find out they are faking it and making up stories? Even i would be dissapointed, but not to the point of hating him tho.
I do agree with it being just a job tho, its like the idol industry too. Taking a certain image would really promote oneself.
I don’t expect the person playing a role to be exactly like the role. At the end of the day, many Vtubers are playing a character. I think that people put too much personal pressure on people they don’t actually know and that’s where the disappointment comes from. So no, I wouldn’t be disappointed because the person behind the cute anime character doesn’t matter unless they’ve actually done something disgusting or criminal.
