I did not make it seem like age gap was fine. I am basically saying that you guys are complaining about age gap when the perpetrator is a literal serial killer. As in a morally black character. As in someone we shouldn’t be rooting for anyway. At no point is this story trying to convince us he’s a good person. He’s a serial killer. He’s clearly a bad guy. That's China you're talking about. This is Japan. There are actually slightly more females than males in Japan. In contrast, China has a surplus of about 30 million men. That's basically the population of a medium to large sized country.

only way i could imagine is if the low birth rate was from male infertility, cuz two guys means at least one of them's gotta be fertile maybe;; but then it'd still make no sense cuz why not any other numbers like 3 husbands x 2 wives
