First I’m not gonna rewrite it because I think there is someone who said it very well in the comments below, but maaan you should all focus more on the story, on the feeling, on the thoughts of the characters instead of focus on who is the best man. Second I think this is a right end for Taku. Let me explain; he always get what he wanted in life, he was always the first one to get bored of the other, so he never really felt “real” emotion. Now he fall for haesoo, he felt new emotion and he never felt before, and he got heartbroken, and this is exactly what he need. He never felt like that before, he feel pain and he doesn’t know just how to behave, he doesn’t want to lose Haesoo and he doesn’t want to feel pain but this is what he need. He need to feel like that to grow up, to understand himself more, to understand how emotion “work”, he need this to be a better man. Obviously he doesn’t deserve this, but even if it’s painful he need it. Everyone get trough this once in their life, the people who get the luck to spend the rest of their life with the first love are so little, almost everyone get through a breakup, it hurts a lot, especially if it’s the first one, but it’s just a little chapter of our life, we get hurt but we get over it and we start again. This is how the life is, and this is why I found this story so fascinating. The author was able to express all this, the love between joowon and haesoo, a cursed love, because between step brother, and a new love, the love of Taku; the author was able to create a story so realistic, and not for the plot, but for the emotion and for the feeling of each characters. And this is why I would love that you all stop for a moment, forgetting about which is the best ship, and just make your heart enjoy this incredible story.

this was really well-said. A lot of readers don't realize how Taku's character needs growth. While he did grow in some ways--knowing what love is and learning to love, in some ways he has remained stagnant. I especially want him to learn that loving someone should not be a selfish act but a selfless one. I am excited to see him in his own story and see his character growth but Taku was never meant for Haesoo that was pretty obvious to me.
