no it was a mistranslation , he didn't mean his actual son he meant it like "son-in-law" as in hwa's boyfriend, basically it's that the only people he truly cares about are hwagok and hwa which makes sense since as a vampire of hundreds of years seeing many people die it's easy for him to be emotionally detached to others
except for his wife/husband and son
