I believe so because after finding out that she wasn't Charlotte, he went to go find the real one and it led him to the palace, but he still stayed with our mc.
But he loves the true one even though he is miss treated. He is like so loyal to the true charlotee.
I think this was shown in the earlier chapters. Lancelot used magic to see MC's soul and found out she wasn't the real Charlotte. He tried to find the og Charlotte and was led to the palace. I'm not sure but maybe he just accepted things because he loved the og Charlotte (like "let her go if u love her" kinda thing). He was suspicious of MC at first but decided to trust and truly love her (I think there was also a chapter where he thought MC is gonna tell him abt not being the og Charlotte). I think it was because he saw that her love for him is genuine or smthng.

from what i remember yea he did it shows that he knew charlotte wasnt acting her usual self so ofc he was suspicious and charlotte is like taking a nap outside and so he takes that oppurtunity and used his powers and saw it was her orginal self and at first he basically thought imposter and was abt to kill her and go search for the orginal but then she said ily lancelot in her sleep and then he was like "shit maybe i wont kill her she seems good" and then he figures out where the orginal charlotte is bcs of smth i cant remember he basically just gets led to the palace and finds out that the princess is og charlotte and im pretty sure it was cause he caught og charlotte and the demon talking and he said out loud if i remember correctly
