It was really a series of multiple misunderstandings...the Mom would trick Yeonduk into telling her where Skyler his his favorite games so she could take them away, she would tell Yeonduk to throw away or “donate” some of Skyler’s stuff w/o him knowing and then would tell Skyler that she gave it to Yeonduk bc he asked for it. Stiluff like that.

you missed a very huge part of the story. so skylar thought yeonduk was a "spy" from his mom and he treated him like trash but yeonduk was never some kind of spy. hence, the misunderstanding and why in the end, the real villian was the mom.

but i don't think this is enough to help you, it's best if you reread it with keeping my reply in mind.

Skyler wasn't going to his dad, his mother was taking skyler away to either kill him or commit double suicide, but skyler didn't know that. skyler thought he was going to his dad. But Yeonduk figured out what the mom was going to do, so he cried and begged skyler's mom to not take skyler away. so that day skyler lived, but he lived with the misunderstandind that yeonduk stopped him from going to live with his dad. he hated living with his mom.
