The ones who were translating this at first said it’s not romance. And the way he is being treated has been toned down a lot in the manhwa. In the novel it was a lot worse. It doesn’t romanticise abuse either. To use their words it’s all about crazy people going crazier and falling deeper into an abyss trying to survive their own form of hell.
