The difference in the flow of time is not consistent. Sometimes is faster and sometimes is slower. The manga says that Byakko starts at the same moment Genbu finishes, maybe some weeks or months after but still the same year. However, in the book it's already 110 year later? And then, one night in the book was four days in real life.

They have a lifespam similar to humans. Females live longer than males. In the wild, they live 60-80 years. In captivity, 17-30 years. Captivity is torture for orcas (actually, for any animal), they are social beings and get really stressed and depressed.
But what is the problem with Beom having 20 years old and Ji 36?

I kind of agree. Animals born in captivity cannot live in the wild but any animal captured from the wild should if possible be released as soon as possible, with exceptions made for animals who would likely die if released.
