I don't think it's to that extend but he will probably ask ML to 'erase' his power to restore. That will lead him to be 'useless' to the guild and him wanting to leave alone (like all MCs did at one point you know :P).
Not gonna lie this shit got really boring at the last few seasons, also should've stayed as shounen ai and shouldn't have put the smut in like its so awkward. I have to skip a chapter and half just to not see the awkwardness, plus they fuck like at least every 5 chapters? Just why
