this is a big rant, but tldr: i love yejun, but he should seek like, professional help. and i dont mean therapy, i mean the authorities.
i will always be an uke defender, because humans are allowed to act emotionally and irrationally, but too much just doesnt make sense about yejuns decisions. i get the being attached to your first love and father of your child, i get giving up your independence to save your child, i get being conflicted about your emotions. what i dont get is why hes not mature enough to realize that even if he loved the ml, his present behavior makes it ABUNDANTLY CLEAR that yejun is in danger. if he was so concerned about losing his son to a family of psychotic freaks, then he would fight back more instead of acting like a school girl with a crush on the guy who bullies her. we KNOW that yejun is stubborn and independent and capable, its what made him so likeable at the beginning. but suddenly all that character exposition is out the window? i dont understand how he can maintain feelings after EVERYTHING thats happened. their relationship was based on the ml treating yejun NICELY and now hes a manipulative and abusive freak so even residual feelings should be gone. there is no reason to see shoujo bubbles for this man.
of course, thats not to say that the ml makes it in any way easy to fight back, what with his physical, social, and economic dominance. but yejun could AT LEAST hate the guy. like this guy isnt even hiding the fact that hes a controlling douchebag and he actively acts like a creep. but of course yejun finds that FUCKING CHARMING. you can make as shitty of an seme as you want and as helpless of an uke as you want, but i draw the line at having to keep track of TWO TYPES OF DELUSIONAL.
