I was into the idea of Baphomet x Reaper... but now that I think about it... it did feel off... a little ominous... the art style kind of tried to show that but I ignored it in favor of 'yas, our boy is learning what falling in love is.'
It makes sense it did not end well. It is actually better this way. He learned what falling in love is, he learned what it feels like to be betrayed or lied to by the one you love most, and he learned what heartbreak is... and finally, hopefully, he will learn how to overcome it and how to acknowledge his feelings in a healthy manner and move on.
Maybe we shall never have another romance situation for Baphomet or maybe we shall but it shall be far later in the story... either way... this is okay. This isn't a bad end to a potential romance. He will grow from this.
I hope he will learn more and be able to express even more emotions. I hope he and Beel become ever closer and he builds his own little team. His own family of people he will learn to adore and want to protect.
