Do we get any explanation of why Ido was such a bastard in the first timeline? By the sound of it, he did like Sejin so I am just so confused by his previous actions.
I think he was just bad person. Red flag with an incomplete transformation before becoming a green flag and now making up for it on this timeline.
in the beginning it was because their relationship was merely an arranged marriage between the two. Kwon ido thought sejin and his family just wanted money from him hence him being cold towards him. Though when they started spending more time together, ido started to fall for him and let his guard down. BUT sejins father basically threatened/forced sejin to steal some files from Kwon ido while ido was on a trip and handed them to him. His father used it to steal an idea from idos company so when Kwon ido found out its when he started treating him like shit. (he didn't know sejins father forced him to take them because sejin didn't tell him)
As for the rape part, kwon ido wasn't aware of it because he thought sejin actually "cheated" on him with his brother. He only realized it later on which is why he didn't visit him because he felt "ashamed" and even then it was too late because sejin ends his own life
