Honestly, this story could’ve veered to a weird route really easily, but the creator did an excellent job in making the relationship feel so elegantly tragic ( at times ) and remarkably relatable.
The art is so unique, it reminds me of a 1920s Vogue illustration with the muted tones and grayscale color palette. It definitely caught my eye and is some of the few BLs that have such eye catching art to me.
The relationship development is so mature, it feels realistic despite what the situation is. Also MC ain’t stupid, he knows what’s good for him!!!! I hate how typical yaoi stories paint the “bottom” as helpless, but this story makes it feel like a real couple—both guys can fend for themselves!!
