Hyeonjin be like "they look alike"... boy they are literally copy paste. Mc and jaewoo in novel are basically a twins. How can you not see this But by far I am the most shocked about Mujin just hanging out and chilling in the house. Like nobody saying anything and hes doing it for a year?????
( ̄□ ̄;)!!
Plz wdym he died right in front of him and this ain't a fantasy novel ╥﹏╥ why would he automatically think "OMG Jaewoo you're back!"
Also for Mujin, he kinda explained, pretty vague but understandable, Jaewoo's social circle was pretty small, apart from him only Mujin knew him like he did, so he's letting him off because having him there reminds him of Jaewoo.
The use of words fantasy novel is pretty funny in a context of this being a fantasy novel lol But yeah totally agree with you that it would be weird and kind of anti climatic if he would respond that way. My comment was more about character design, because you can't tell me that they don't look reallyyyy similar, and I think mine and a lot of readers sentiment is that if Jaewoo looked a little bit diff, then the scenes after reunion would be more impactful. Or it could be just me I honestly don't know. Anyway it definitely was not ment to be a critique of Hyeonjin demeanor it was more like me getting confused with twin-like similarities between the og body and the novel body
I think quote form Tanushka Saini article sum up his character best
"Taehyun is not a very likeable character. But he is very realistic. He is not to be taken at face value. Sometimes he acts like a prick, sometimes he does not; always wearing a smirk to cover up the pain behind his eyes, hiding the pain he does not want to deal with. His past is filled with trauma, the trauma he supressed to the point that now he does not feel any emotion; or maybe he does and does not want to acknowledge them. It was exhausting to watch him. He has friends, but he is so good at hiding everything that nobody realises the things that he is dealing with. But, most of the time, he is not aware of what he is feeling. He had no one he could talk to about those feelings, nobody to understand him, nobody to tell him that it is alright and that whatever happened was not his fault. You know, a shoulder to cry on. So instead of dealing with his emotions, he refuses their mere existence. But his character just made its way into my heart. A soft corner which I did not know I could offer. So let me phrase it better; for me Taehyun was the best character. "
If you are interested I recommend reading whole article it's very comprehensive and sum up neatly feelings reader can expirience through this manhwa (^^)b
