I think the mangaka don't want to make Emoto's story to be smooth sailing as he was an offender on the other story. I did not like Emoto at all at the other manga.

Moreover Choji is already love in first sight with Emoto so he got it better than the other uke.

But here is the moral of the story. Body signals can be deemed as agreeing to sexual interactions. When Emoto said wait I'll take a shower first, Choji interpreted it that Emoto is good to go as it was an etiquette in Japan to take a shower first before engaging. That is why Choji thought that Emoto is quite bold for a virgin. Also Choji is used to having one night stands as what his friend and the gay bar entails. He did thought of not going all the way until he thought that Emoto sent a body signal. The interpretation of sexual offense is different everywhere, here in California, as long one person is intoxicated of any sort, alcohol, drugs, or etc... That is an offense across the board as long as the victim can proved that they were intoxicated even though they might had given an okay signal.

In my birth country, it is a quite complicated. It is only an offense if a penetration of an organ happens. I actually find myself liking Takeru more on this story and finding the other story a bit too much or the other uke was a bit too dramatic for his own good? Moreover Choji is the best seme i have seen. The seme on the other story is kinda okay too, it is just the story kinda just fell into place like the seme is actually rich and needed the talent of the uke and so they met again... Typical yaoi drama lol while this one, as emoto is a tsundere, you can see himself struggling and just being himself and choji just loving every inch of it. I want to believe that that is what really is love lol
