I was enjoying this heartwarming story until this potential male lead suddenly appears idk why but maybe i’ve read too many romance manhwa and it irks me when male leads are either the prince-next-in-line-emperor, the most powerful mage/wizard, another powerful creature (the dragon) or the northern duke

I’ve reread the earlier chapter and I dont think author pointed out WHEN exactly did mc found out hes living in BL world, all he said was the conversation gradually turned from girls to ‘girly guys’ during his school days. So my theory is that since Hatano fell for him since they were younger so Hatano’s feelings werent moved due to this BL setting. His feelings were genuine and pure, just like any normal human being in the real world, thats why theres no BL flag to destroy
