After I read the raws, I have the suspicion that the situation isn't very clear between them, and Shinobu feels some kind of insecure about it, so they have a conversation about "break" or "a free sexual relationship" or whatever, and so Kou has sex with another guy, because he is angry.
Oh, ok. That context is definitely better than him just cheating for no reason. Still makes me mad that he cheated, but at least there was a reason.

I'm not absolutely sure, but this is the feeling I get from the raws. Of course it's a matter to make you angry, under each circumstances, but makes both of them stupid and Kou a little bit less of an asshole. :p
