That suck.. The art was good and serious until they changed it! It became childish and unappealing for me. It's merely my opinion, so thank you.
I understand where you're coming from, very well. It's a shame, but I kind of get why the manhua isn't nearly as detailed as the novel. At least they've given us an image of our favourites Princes and Heng Heng, so that when reading the novel, you haven an idea of what they could look like ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Gotta admit it, they're gorgeous.
