I was actually curious to read a shoujo manga that talked about the main couple having sex. It's so normal to see it happen in yaoi manga that I've never seen it happen in shoujos...
Actually it happens all the time in shojos manga. Probably about a 50/50 ratio. I've read probably over 300 of them. It tends to be more frequent in the late middle school to high school age ones and infrequent in the younger ones.
Very rarely is it as graphic as you however. It rests between Bl and yaoi
I thought shoujo manga was supposed to be fluffy and don't have that kind of scenes xD I'm shook actually, I've only watched shoujo anime and never read a shoujo manga so that must be why.
it actually happens in shoujo mangas reasonably often as well, but a lot of the time they don't show it at all so you just assume they had sex from the context clues.

if you're looking for (somewhat) explicit sex you would probably find it in josei manga with an addtional "ecchi" tag. the demographic for josei are adult women so the contents are usually more mature. hentai is full blown porn, while ecchi is more soft-core i'd say.
