Please dont judge me this is only my opinion but i feel like this story is getting “boring” in a way. Since theres still alot of questions about this story’s history which isnt answered. Im not saying thats bad but i think the reader would understand the story more if they know bits of the history. And i also didnt expect some mc love interest in the story since i just thought this was some cute magic father and daughter relationship.
What we get is what Maybelle sees (as the story follows her POV). And Raquiel literally blocked many people to give Maybelle information and she herself is afraid that her question (especially about Galatea/her mother) will ruin the happy mood.
Maybelle's source of info besides her father are Khan, Phon, Vivia (she'll appear next episode. Abel's fiancee), Von Kyle, Raul & Margot (other 2 archmages besides Rykell. Raul was Galatea's best friend and Margot is Galatea's disciple who will act as an aunt to Maybelle), Rykell usually blocked them from talking too much (and they are annoyed at Rykell because of this. Phon usually made his way behind Rykell's back to proceed with his own agenda, while Raul & Margot secretly taught Maybelle the "lesson" that Rykell will avoid at all cost).
the piece of the puzzle will be added slowly as maybelle grows (rykell also toned down his protective streak and more open to his daughter after he conquers his own sadness and decides to fight back).
it's always a slow progress in the first half of the story (the novel is the same lol, but i didn't skim chapters).
i think the story will be more interesting if it uses 3rd pov or several characters pov at the same time ~_~.. too many things i want to know, too..but Rykell always send Maybelle elsewhere and did his thing (Bellerophon, follow me. maybelle can go rest/sleep/have snacks, etc).
the artist promises to add more original extra stories later, so i think it's worth the wait.. (I'm dying to know what kind of "talk" Rykell had with Bellerophon because Khan promises Maybelle that he'll watch and do his best to prevent a potential brawl between teacher and disciple XD.)

That’s a really good explanation! For many of these kinds of story it’s almost always a POV so it’s hard when u know stuff and the MC doesn’t and they make decisions based on what they know but it’s not always the right decision

ngl its jinda uncomfy for art to get in a relationship with tess in the future in this manga since i feel like romance isnt really the type of thing to fit in this kind of genre, but if you ship art and tess i resorct the ship tho i just dont ship it not ship art with anyone in my opinion
I completely agree with you, I honestly don’t want them to be a couple, I feel this comic should solely focus on arts development and all that’s to come. Rather a romantic relationship between him and tess, it should stay platonic because it’s fucking messed up considering art is a middle aged man while tess is 13
