He literally forced himself onto hyungdo in the alley, he even claims himself as manipulative to amuse himself in the past, controlling of hyungdos lifestyle, etc etc....
Not sure if you're writing season 1 off. Its just silly that you're defending that he's not toxic? Major yikes.

Usually I don't care about plots revolving around these types of scenarios. You read what you like, but at least try not misconceive the characters and plots. Regardless, it was a nice smutty read. I liked it.

He changes. I never said he wasn't toxic. I said you prob wouldn't understand why readers don't find him toxic because he has huge character development in the S2. And you're only in chapter 22. I'm going off from the present, not from the past. But that doesn't mean we should discard his whole past completely. I'm just saying, readers don't find him toxic anymore because he's changed for the good, and everything is better now. Not defending him, more like making an understanding. He's toxic at the start, but towards a bit into the middle he changes.

But, Hyungdo KNEW this guy was trouble. He knew from the start that Gyung was bad news. Yes, he threw himself onto him in the alleyway, but after that, who spent like 2 weeks at home doing nothing, but then they finally go outside and just so happens to meet the guy who threw himself onto him in the alleyway, but instead of telling him to fuck off, he tells him i love you? Hyungdo. But yk, thats just how yaoi works. Without plot, without shit, without drama, a yaoi isn't all that interesting.

My statement? My statement from the WHOLE start was, readers don't find him toxic anymore because he's changed. Maybe if you'd read or reflect on what he's done AFTER reading, you might understand why readers don't hate him anymore! You know, people change! :D

YOU got that impression without any context. Sure my response was dry and a bit short in the first one but that's because I didn't expect to hit your nerves or anybody's nerves LOL. I thought I'd get a simple "Why don't you think readers don't find Gyung toxic anymore?" That was the RESPONSE I hoped to get. Not you saying I'm defending him or taking his side. What I literally meant from the start was Gyung isn't really a bad person at the end, he changes, and A LOT of fans have forgiven him.

1.) I don't really have such interest for a love life. Let alone, a toxic love life. But if my partner were toxic, I know it's for a reason. You know, everything has a cause and a reason behind it. Somebody toxic, might not even be HEALTHY, or MENTALLY STABLE. I'd get my partner, friend, sex partner whatever they are some help. Or you know, some people are just rebellious, or are into a toxic person. You know, masochist and sadists exist....

Highly sensitive ppl like you really shouldn't be reading these types of stories. It seems you distort real life with fiction. It is perfectly understandable to feel a certain way about a "character" and it is your right to express that. Maturity is agreeing to disagree when someone doesn't agree with you or is trying to explain the possibilities to why. Immaturity is personalizing and weaponzing a person's stance and using as an attack on their character as a person. I read what you wrote to the person who was trying to explain the stance of many readers at this point and your response was extremely immature. I am saying this as a adult. Not a preteen or teenager. A fully grown adult. Perhaps you should instead stay on the more fluffy side of BL/Yaoi until you are able to debate with others (who are actually strangers whom you know nothing about their personal lives) in a more mature, not emotionally charged manner.

My statement from the start was that I still find him toxic regardless of the character development. People change, but history does not, and the opinion's of traumatized individuals affected by their toxic actions may never change. FYI I finished reading by the time you replied the first time, and implied it every single reply I have given you. Just because I have not finished reading at original reply, I should be expecting him to no longer be toxic? (Thanks for the spoiler, never asked btw) Regardless I still considered Gyung as toxic at the end. The way you wrote your original response sounded troll that slightly came off as belittling (It sounded as if "You failed to understand material, no wonder why you're so dumb because you have not finished reading!") just because I have not finished reading along with confusing emojis as if I'm not a reader without an opinion. I finished reading, and I get that he gets character development. But, my opinion differs. Because of this type of response, of course I would respond differently as you expected, as everyone would respond differently. Anyways, thanks for clarifying your stance, but my stance on Lee Gyung still stands as it is. To address, you made a GENERAL statement about readers as a whole as if you were inclusive in that statement. Of course one would get the impression that your opinion would follow.

Not a reader from Korea but just a guess, they probably hated it bc it was too focused on Heejoo. I personally didn't feel this way, but if I was waiting for new releases every week wanting to see progress w/ the main couple, but instead get flashback scenes of a side character spanning multiple chapters, and nearing the season 1 finale as well, I could see why they would be bummed out. So they probably just hated how long the arc took lol.

they wanted yuri-seonwoo action, so they were sad that so many chapters were focused on heejoo hahaha:)
