But I think the scenario went this way: 1) in the web novel, the author wrote ran getting kidnapped, gangraped and pregnant. But since the backlash, the author changed it to getting threatened, torchured (?) and having facial scar in the light novel.
2) or the author wrote it in the web novel. But due to the backlash, the author rewrote the chapters and repost the web novel.
I just hope the manhwa took the soft direction and focus more on the lovey dovey part of ran x yus

Its a fake spoiler, in the novel Ran was threatened with disfigurement and rape however Yus comes in and saves her so there was no actual sexual assault - however the manga will probably not even include the threat of sexual assault either since it's so heinous and unwelcome in what is otherwise a PG story.
