The boss does try to go sweet on him, but dude just keeps crying, so a Safe Word was established and the Boss tells him exactly what to expect and when.
I honestly don't like how this character was written. Like, over and over again he expects what, exactly? You don't quit the company you outed. You accepted sexual conditions for a position on a team you're not qualified to be on. You cry at EVERYTHING!!!
