these are both heavy, decent plot points. Stop looking with your "predicted reading" glasses, and actually connect with the plot.
you can't predict anything. People's parents who love and raise them, reject them for reasons as stupid as sexuality. or pregnancy too young.
what basis, from his point of view, do you have to say that? To a guy engaged to a family that wants blood line, a heir, to continue their lineage. What do you know?
Even if the seme may be okay with it, there would still be his family, who could just view him as an "ineffective omega". it's not simple.
and telling someone whom was dreaming of building a life and a family that they can't. is a big deal. it's huge. and painful. why should he move past this?
