:D When I read ch. 133 all I thought was "So, that's how Naruto fans felt like."
At this point I don't even care about the numerous plot-holes anymore, I just want some kind of progress.
I watched Book of the Atlantic last Sunday and as entertaining as it was it also was a little bit sad to see what Kuroshitsuji used to be and what it is now.

god, it's not just me? this last arc, or two? the stars and the blood transfusion arc, and this twins arc, is kind of, i don't know, flat? Not like the ideas themselves were bad, but the follow through....and the boarding school arc was a bit less than impressive.
Atlantic and circus, even the green witch,and everything prior, was really really good.
yes, us naruto fans had more filler torture than any show ever. 25 episodes of filler at a time!! that meant 25 weeks of blah.

The whole Blue Cult arc (blood transfusion+and twins) has been extremely boring. Most of it was pointless or unnecessary (the battle of the boybands was just fanservice) and most of the important questions haven't been answered so far. Instead of answering these questions (and there are many of them), she starts a new storyline.
I know that part of the fandom is happy as long as they can see how adorable the twins were but I don't read this manga because I want to see cute children. I want action, horror, mystery and most importantly, finished storylines that answer at least some of the questions I have.

The public school arc was also pretty boring imho, but not as boring as this arc.

The flashbacks in Naruto were useless though. They kept bringing up stuff we had already seen. This is all new. This IS progress in the story. We still don't know what happened exactly the day that Ciel was kidnapped. How Sebastian happened to be. This is a turning point in the story, Yana built this up for 10 years, it makes sense that she wants to explain things properly. Also, introduce real!Ciel properly. We know nothing about him. Is he a villain? Is he not? We have to see how he was in the past to understand how he changed.

No, it's not all new. MC is still the same person he used to be. The only difference is that he wasn't supposed to be the earl. And all we've learned about Ciel is that he didn't want to be the earl and wanted to stay with his brother. This could've been told in one chapter or in a short conversation between the brothers. There's nothing new in ch. 133.

i agree, nothing new really, just fanservice. we know how loving his family was. we know how sebastian got there, it was a goddamn demon summoning ritual for Christ sake. (see what i did there? lol) we knew for a while now he isn't the real ciel. his character is the same. We have seen plenty of his own flashbacks, that we also know what he was like as a kid. We can also deduce, that since he was a sick child, he liked being with his parents and or sibling. None of this required the new chapters. He already explained his reasons for doing this; because they tried to trample his pride. he said it wasn't anything as nice as revenge. he was doing it for himself.

right? i want my action! i was sebastian to crush him and move on ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
i like watching sebastian rip things apart or set them on fire. (we all have our hobbies)

i want to know where lizzy is?
Who killed agni? (though, pretty sure it was evil ciel)
What do you do with somah now?
How is evil ciel back?
Where the fuck is undertaker, because he has some explaining to do?
Who was behind the whole blood test thing?
and i'm pretty sure sebastian ate or tried to eat evil ciel's soul???
Lastly, why is our ciel the bad guy here? OUR ciel found each of the workers, tanaka loves them both, sebastian is loyal to OUR ciel only, and he has been the one who was kind to lizzy all there years. So, why evil ciel think he can just shove him on over??

At the moment I believe that (evil) Ciel betrayed his family (with the help of Undertaker) so that he could stay with his brother. At least that would explain why Sebastian isn't allowed to lie to our Ciel. It could even explain why he took his name, why Madame Red was only mad at Ciel (myabe Grell told her) and why our Ciel wasn't happy when he saw his brother again.
But it's hard to theorize about this now.

You people only got really annoyed since you figured out this manga only updates once a month and you've been reading for only a year or so, but we dedicated fans show appreciation on what she's done for the sake of the manga and her readers.

This aint a Naruto shit cause the chapters show how faithful Liz is towards Ciel and might've hinted where her wherebouts are and how Ciel's company came to be.

I've been reading this manga for years. I'm not pissed because it updates once a month. I'm pissed because nothing happens and the chapters are full of fanservice(cute kids and boybands are not a plot). Why do you think most of the comments are something like "OMG, they're so cute"? Because of all the plot that is going on?
Stop mindlessly defending Yana just because you don't want to admit that this arc dull. Btw the "she's planned this from the start" argument isn't a good one. She had about 10 years to prepare the storyline for this arc and it's full of fanservice and fillers.

I'm not sucking up to anyone. And why would you complain? It's not your manga to begin with. It's Yana's. And if we fans actually wanted boy bands wouldnt it be better if it wasn't those minor characters that we know nothing about the background of?

You try to give an argument of your own but you do the make any sense whatsoever.

If you really are a fan why would they you appreciate any of the things she's done and only do nothing but complain? It's good enough that she didn't stop this manga and go in a hiatus for a long time.

And I complain about this arc, not the whole manga. I've also never said that I could write a better manga. You don't have to be a bestselling author to identify fillers and fanservice just like you don't have to work in the anime industry to identify bad animation.

I understand that this is the point of the flashback. I just don't understand why she didn't write the flashback from Ciels pov. Right now we only observe their everyday lives (from before the fire) and for people who like cute stuff like little Ciel this strategy might work. They might be able to connect to this character because they get a little bit emotional when they see him (maybe because they think "awww, so precious" or maybe because he's a child).
But that's not the case for me. I don't have any emotions when I see ordinary children in a manga. I don't like typical cute stuff.
That's why I don't care about Ciel at all (the real one). There wasn't enough in the flashback to make me care about him because all the cuteness doesn't work on me.

your argument is so fucking ridiculous. we stated our opinions and our facts behind them. not once did we say we hated the manga. we said we were bored during these fluffy arcs. our argument made perfect sense if you read them without assuming you are right about everything and everybody else is wrong.
we don't have to appreciate every scrap she gives us just because she is successful. so what if she isn't on haitus? That has nothing to do with this being good or bad plot.
We were having a grown up discussion, with opinions and respect for each other. and you come in here on your high horse, getting all butthurt that we don't kneel at yana's feet like some beggar, saying, "Thank you for your perfect manga. that we love and have no bad opinions about".
She is a big girl. our criticism won't kill her. even nauto, bleach, one piece, and full metal alchemist got bad opinions all the time. and they were much, much more successful. No one story is without flaw just because it is successful.

you are not alone. i know it's meant to make us feel sympathy for the real one. but, let's be honest. i just don't care. i love out ciel. i always will. i didn't mind that he had a twin in the past. i accepted that. totally fine. what feels boring, was bringing him back. like, is everyone supposed to drop our ciel and kiss evil one's ass? NO. that makes zero sense. It was built up so much over the years, and now it feel like it is falling short.
i don't feel any connection to this evil ciel, i feel like he is the same as any bad guy until now. just kill him and move on. i can already sense him, "Woiss me, my brother abandoned me. blah blah, i'm the real victim". <--- that is the vibe i get from him in the stair case. he is just here to torture our ciel. it makes me hate him. I'm very mama bear about our ciel.

this is tagged as comedy, fantasy and supernatural. It's supposed to be on the slightly darker side. forgive us that we don't want to see all the cuteness. That's not what this manga is about. i'd be having more fun with these flashbacks if the theory, that as children, his twin poisoned him to worsen his sickness, were actually true. that's dark. The flashbacks just seem empty thus far. a few panels could of expressed how much they love each other and that ciel wanted to build a toy company.
What have we learned new in these flashbacks?
It's like when they put couples together at the end of naruto. We didn't follow a shounen manga for that. We wanted answers to the fucked up shinobi system and what happened to naruto and sasuke after loosing an arm. We wanted to see all those fifteen years of promises followed through. nope, we got a cute happily ever after with couples and children.
Like, i love black bulter. i don't want them doing the same crap.
i was attracted to that dark ass past of ciels. the torture and just being trampled, was horrible. But i was attracted to it for that. And that he does all this for himself. He crushes all his enemies underfoot. and the humor, mostly from undertaker and gruel. is also enjoyable as hell. but i don't like this mellow family drama it seems to be building up right now.

However, I don't think it makes a lot of sense to argue with the very "enthusiastic" part of the fandom. If Kuroshitsuji turned into a SoL/romance they would still defend it.

I think you're missing the point of the flashbacks, though? They don't want to explain our!Ciel, they want to explain the twins relationship. So you can't say it's nothing new. Yana is introducing a new character, after all. We didn't know anything about real!Ciel before the flashbacks happened. We still don't know what happened the day they were kidnapped. WHO kidnapped them. WHY. I believe it isn't as simple as you make it seem. If it had just been a random cult kidnapping, Yana wouldn't have put so much emphasis on it. There's more. There must be a twist in here, somewhere.
I mean, maybe a pause between the flashbacks would have been nice, but I think it feels longer than necessary mostly because we have to wait an entire month for every chapter. I bet when it's over and you read it all together it won't feel as long anymore :)

I guess it's because i already picked up all the hints and whatnot, so i kind of already have a feel for this real ciel's character, prior to this. i can never decide if the cult kidnapping was planned or not? Like, they just were experimenting and trying to summon a demon themselves. anyone would want to attack the phantom hives, for obvious reasons, but yes, i want to know who. Or was someone pulling the strings in the back ground? i know they murdered his parents, took them both? or at least our ciel for sure? Pretty positive it was both, after the green which arc. And set the house on fire. and mr.badass tanaka lived somehow? out shopping that night?? lol

Yeah, I understand that. I knew about the twin a year or so before it happened, so it does seem a bit like an overkill to put such emphasis on the flashbacks and their relationship before he "died" (or whatever happened to him). Still, this must lead to something. Possibly bigger than we can imagine. Or at least that's the kind of expectation Yana is building up in me after all this, I hope she won't disappoint! :'D I could totally agree with you later in the story, if it turns out that the flashbacks weren't foreshadowing anything at all, but I'll suspend judgement until then.
Also, being nice should be a given, so there's really no need to thank me! All of us should be able to express our opinions, we all love Kutoshitsuji after all <3

He said in the chapter, "So you are sebastian". something about this being the first time they actually met or something. Maybe, like in circus, our ciel ordered him to kill everyone. Maybe he didn't know his bro was still alive? That would be interesting. and agni, who killed him? i think it was real ciel, but the guy just seemed so much taller?? lol, vision perception.

It could be anything at this point, really. Sometimes I think it could be the Queen who ordered it, but at the same time it almost seems too obvious. I don't know :/ I'm still not sure real!Ciel is even dead. If he ever died. I do suspect that the one who killed him was our!Ciel, but who knows at this point? They seemed to have a lovely relationship, so it doesn't make sense, but... I still believe he did. Maybe it was a mistake. Maybe not. Sebastian told him he had paid the price, but technically, for how we know things now, the ones who scarified real!Ciel were the cult people, not our!Ciel, so why did Sebastian chose him? Why would he say that? Our!Ciel MUST have done something.
As for the one who killed Agni... I think real!Ciel must have been with someone else. I don't know who, though.

Yeah, I sometimes I think the queen has something to do with it, too. I mean, many of the basic concepts of the anime original arcs were also used in the manga (not the same stories, of course, that would've been boring) so it's possible that the queen was involved in it somehow.
Other than that I also wonder if Vincent's (maybe also his wife) still alive. We still don't know who Master Sirius is. All we have is a silhouette, an arm and he said "Come here child..." (Ch.115, p. 23). The arm looks like it belongs to someone who suffers from severe burns. Maybe when the Undertaker said how the Earl of Phantomhive wasn't dead he meant Vincent and not Ciel (at this point realCiel also wasn't the Earl. He still isn't. Even MC had to be appointed by the queen and Ciel has never been appointed by her).
Then there's still the question why MC even took the name "Ciel Phantomhive". He didn't do it to become the Earl. As the only living son (and everybody thought only one son survived) he could've become the Earl anyway.
In the ship arc MC calls the name Ciel Phantomhive a cursed name. Besides, we know that instead of hunting down the people who are responisble for what happened to his family, he waits for them to come to him. Maybe that's why he chose to take his name. Maybe he thought/knew that they would only come for "Ciel Phantomhive" and not "Whatever-the-fuck-his-name-is Phantomhive". However, I have no idea why it could be like this (if it's true).
