One of the few times I’m not hit by the « second lead syndrome » and « childhood friend syndrome ». I don’t like the ex. I can understand his situation with his family and Chinese society, however I can’t get past the fact that he knows he can’t be with the uke but ties him up and refrains him from moving on from him. It has been 10 years and he’s still messing with him, holding him back, knowing that they can’t be together. He’s entitled and selfish asf.
If you love him but can’t be with him, then let the uke be happy with someone else who could commit to him and be his bf.
*sorry for my english*
Woah, this is such a masterpiece. The art style is incredible and so unique, the plot is like no other and extremely interesting and last but no the least, the characters !!! My God, I love Asako, he’s freaking cute, a pure cinnamon roll.
And can we talk about the consent from both Mcs ? The sexual orientation talk ? The preparation before sex ? Those 3 things were a breath of fresh air in BL genre.
I was so reluctant to fully read it cause I didn’t want it to end, now I want more stories like this .

I’m a sucker for psychological BL with fucked up charas and plots like Blind Play, Chess Piece, Checkmate, The beast must die, Lost in the clouds etc... But I don’t like this one at all.
First, none of the MCs are likeable. I hate seme and I’m indifferent towards the uke.
The bullying and threatening are exaggerated and feel unjustified when compared with what the uke has done to seme. I mean the uke was a jerk but not to the point of ruining his school life like that.
The power balance is off, in every psycho Bl, ukes have some power/ control over seme or on the situation. That way it feels less one-sided. But in this story, the uke has no power over seme.
Plus I’m sure, they will end up together at the end
