I literally don’t know what’s going on anymore. Not that I’m not enjoying it though lol. Which is funny bc I read the novel a while back and I remember having a good grasp on the plot then. I don’t think the translation is lacking either; maybe it’s just how the info was condensed from novel to comic?

The stuff between the two main characters is just sort of the stuff that happens between normal people, sometimes people are shitty to others. But the omega is literally being trafficked by his parents and it’s been happening since before he was an adult. It genuinely makes me want to throw up. Because of the genre it’s sort of treated casually but it’s so horrific. I have a feeling he developed that sort of outward personality to appear as if he enjoys it to convince himself “Oh, I’m not going through rape something terrible isn’t happening to me, it’s okay because this is who I am” to help himself cope. This sort of stuff pops up all the time in Bo so idk why I’m surprised but the scene where they’re in high school and the uke has bruises on his arm and the seme is comforting him makes me so sad because he definitely got it from being forced to have sex. It makes me so sad that he’s so young. While the seme got strung along and was treated bad, I feel like a lot of people go through that in life as they grow up, and while I don’t want to diminish what he went through, it falls under normal life events while the uke is the victim of a horrible crime. I want the seme to find self worth and self love and a good relationship if he wants one, but I don’t really care about the relationship between them. The uke doesn’t have to be forgiven for what he did to the seme, but what I really want is for the uke to be safe and out of this disgusting situation and to heal from his traumas.

Honestly I don’t. While a recessive alpha x dominant omega would be cool, I think synthetic dominant alpha x omega is also interesting. Even if there’s a way to turn a recessive into a dominant, there will probably still be a stigma. It’s different compared to all the dominant alpha x whatever omegas out there! Plus, Seme is still poor and uke is still rich, they’re still not on equal playing fields. There’s room for character growth and overcoming their obstacles. I hope people won’t be fixated on this one aspect because i feel like with the authors art and writing it could pan out to be an interesting (sexy) story.

I understand the uke’s perspective. He can’t be with the person he loves because he knows they have no future together, but he can’t bear to have completely separate lives, so he acts like a dick and the Seme let’s him behave this way (likely because this relationship started out this way when they were young and continued into their adulthood). I’m sympathetic but I really hope the Seme stands by his words and reinforces his boundaries and doesn’t let the uke back into his life. Even if the ukes background is sad, it doesn’t change the fact that he was using the seme as his own emotional respite while disregarding how hurtful he was. I think they both need to do a little growing on their own. If they’re endgame, I really, really hope that this is ends up with the uke ultimately chasing the seme. Bonus points if the seme gets involved with someone else ^^ even if it’s just for a bit. All in all, excited to see where this goes.I don’t think it’ll hit all my points but if it hits some of them and flounders around on the others, I’ll probably be okay. I’m not here to read about perfect characters being perfect to each other, I’m here to read about flawed people who hurt each other and their shit circumstances and how they navigate and grow around them (or don’t). Of course, it could end up being a total shitfest (bruh I will RIOT if the seme and uke continue to have more of the same relationship) and ultimately it’s a commercial fast production/fast consumption smut comic so I’m not expecting a super poignant and deep story but I’ll still be camping out
