Lovecraft was an author of cosmic horror and science fiction stories, mostly well known for "The Cthulhu mythos", the necronomicon and in general the mythology of the "Great old ones". His creations were incredibly unique back then and even now. All of the entities created by him are very mysterious and generally hard to explain, that's the whole point of his style. He created almost all the creatures you saw in this webtoon (Dagon,Azathoth, Rhan-Tegoth(the bug), The King in yellow(possibly the hooded man) e.t.c). Some of his works are incomplete and pieced together from notes.

Yeah, not at all haha In fact most people wouldn't ever think of seeing these creatures of horror as dating material. They are, after all, supposed to make you fear the extreme uncertainty of the unknown. All of Lovecraft's stories are just that, horror. Nothing more nothing less.
