Forget the whole rape thing, I just can't get over the hypocrisy. Sacchi wanted to live her youth to the fullest, and in the process she almost robbed someone's else youth. A child cannot be a child while raising a child, you force them to grow up and it was evident in this manga. Is he a good father? Definitely. Was she a good partner? I don't think so
Overall the plot is good. Some things are morally wrong (and ig illegal) but it's a drama manga so meh ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
Theory: the old man, when tasting the turtle soup, remembered the time when he was stranded on an island alone, with his only companion being a turtle he found one morning. Being on that island for so long, he went crazy with hunger and ate his friend, the turtle.
After a while he was rescued by a ship and years later, when he tried tasting a turtle soup in a restaurant by the beach, he was reminded of the friend he murdered and consumed, thus killing himself for he could not handle the guilty memories
