At first I was annoyed because it's like Jess just gave up without a fight...but it's because he's gentle. He's gentle, fragile and naive. He's weak because he doesn't like draining people, and that's leading to his downfall. I don't see any hope here poor guy is either gonna rot away here, or the manipulating psycho is gonna die. I don't see a happy ending.
This is somehow even more terrifying than having speech. Since mouths don't exist anymore, everything is happening in almost silence. No screams, just facial expressions of terror.
Not quite, everything still makes sounds. Even humans, they just don't have open outlets, so they can only make gutural ones, like moans and grunts.

I see the image you're picture and it's very disturbing and another more impactful for sure! I hope the anime ignores the literal outcome and makes everything silent like you said it. :D But by logic, yeah, not much.
THIS IS WRITING AT ITS PEAK. I spent the ENTIRE DAY completely engrossed in this story. The art, the characters, the story the delivery- This is a masterclass!!!! GOSH IM SO MAD I CAUGHT UP. I had background music playing and everything.
This story is an experience, beautiful, funny, tragic and haunting. (That panel with the emperor looking on in the sky at the dragon was gorgeous). I feel like this is everything I wanted out of a story and more. It's so beautiful. Every moving part, connecting the moments from the past to the future, peices fitting together like a puzzle, outliners that can move at any moment...
Damn, this story is definitely a top 3, probably my favorite of all time now. I hope they make a live action for this. I gotta buy the physical copies when/if it goes into print. I need to find people to talk about this story with. Everything here is perfection.

I'm here for the cute moments with the kid. Lowkey this is the same plot that I saw in another very similar story (No chemistry, just a rich, mean, ass seme and an omega trapped with him, but make it CEO x Secretary). I was hoping for it to be more of a psychological thriller of sorts, but unfortunately the story is pretty predictable and that makes me sad. It had a not very original, but still pretty great start! I'll stay for the ride tho.

I love coming back to this. The payoff being the adorable extra chapters (Lilith and Mephi are so damn cute) is perfect. Was a tad confusing towards the later half of the story but still a fun ride!
