Just a beautiful story of an Ikebana and the prince from a distant land. The story is just cute and amazing. I really took my time reading this because of how beautiful the story is. Im a sucker for Royalty and commoner trope. This mix with pure love is just perfection. I like the fact that they dont tell us the name before hand and really create that "search for the one" based on other things besides their name. Their face, outfit, sihouette, all of this can be identified except their real name but these things i mentioned can be same but different people so i love that challenge of "do you really know that person without knowing their name".

I already bought my copy of Smile and I never regret my purchase at all. Beautiful art with character being flaws and imperfection that truly makes them human. Go purchase Smile at Aarinfantasy(That's where I get mine) and read the extra of the comic. You won't regret it.

This is one of the new artist that came from wrote dark twisted stories wanting to dabble into other genre to see how fans react (respectively:- Syundei with her Ganbare Nakamura-Kun and Gengoroh Tagame with My brother's husband) it's not a bad thing to try a new genre and see how the public react is. The story is very simple and straight forward having a single father who is kind of a delinquent having this partners relationship and navigate how to take care of his son after his wife left him with it. Stories like this is 100 tjmes better because you already have a child who is your from previous relationship and having someone from your past who has feelings for you, how are navigate that life balance. Seeing Take jealous over Kota for love him more and even calling him dad was really sad since Take is the one who really took care of Kota and being side eyed by your own child is hurtful to any single parent.

This manga is one of the best BL manga I have ever read in my entire life. the fact that this entire story is based on a true story by Nanasaki Ryousuke makes this even more painful with what he is going through from childhood to adulthood before the meet the love of his life

There was some exaggerated scene just to make the story more comedic in some ways but the most serious parts were painful to read. I bought the official Japanese copy of this manga and I didn't regret them at all.

There is a few things that I had to side-eye with this manga not because it was bad but because it was cut out for the sake of art and it won't fit unless it needed to be extended to like 100 pages. we don't get to see these characters fleshed out except in one chapter. if I didn't read what the scanlation wrote at the footnote, I would be left unsolved and how these characters were just an extra.

There werent any moment in this manga that didnt make me cry like a baby but the most painful parts was when he finally admit himself that he is gay and how he just let out his anger because he's in paint and that bottle created a boom that finally exploded which is why Ryousuke snapped.

This rating is for the oneshot. I love how the uke vision of the same being rich living like the kardashians shattered and seeing what a humble, small house with a large family members dealing with his dad debt. It is clear that the uke is blaming other for all the bullshit he faces even though everything was his fault to begin with and not admitting it. I'm happy to see that it opens the uke viewpoint that just because he is TOP OF THE BUSINESS doesn't mean u live in a lavish household. Sometimes the most chaotic, simplest lifestyle can bring joy to ones self.

The story here is clearly didn't write from a queer perspective and it shows. The author clearly had a straight relationship in mind but decided to make it a yaoi because that is what popular rn. Good for the author and I don't completely mind since there are some gay couples who don't mind hetero pet names. I can see why hisamitsu is like "I know u like me but I decided to married a woman instead" because that is what society expect us and his inner homophobia can get the best at people without realising. So okay I don't mind that since it is a problem irl as well. If everything is great then why did I give this a 4/5 stars. Simple, because I hate how self doubt Toki is. I'm okay with him having one self doubt but in the span of 1 volume, he has like 4 and that gets super repetitive and bored real quick because ts the same thought. (I hope that hisamitsu can find a better wife than me) (you don't need me anymore since you can handle yourself.) It gets so tiring that I wish I could slap some sense into Toki and give him the wake up call that he needed. He can't have a god damn adult conversation at all because of this and this is not his like trades, it is added just to add drama to the story which bores me quickly when there is a different problem but falls into the same topic being repeated over again.

I'm only rating this 5/5 because of how the story plays out. It's not always fluffy love story. This story is more psychological and mind damaging. The teacher raping is student out of is mentally deranged thoughts and regretting ever since. Unlike most teachers who blackmail or keep on raping the students out of love. The student is someone who crave for love but only know his mom as he doesn't have friends and all. In a way, the ending really gave me the satisfaction this story need because u know how fucked up their relationship is but u can't help but to feel they literally are compatible for each other. The journey is dark, psychological and fucked up but the ending gave a sweet with a hint of bitterness that we expected when we finish the first chapter.

This manhwa should have not exist in the first place. The chemistry is fucking sus and me looking at the main couple being bitter about each other all the fucking time is bullshit. Hyesung being a fucking shithole yelling and making byul should have not exist from the first place is the fucking nail in the coffin for me. I don't mind if u hit your child in order to teach them but go fucking abuse them and making them feel worthless. That ain't the solution assholes. I suffered YEARS trying to see for myself what is so good about this manhwa but nothing and I mean NOTHING makes me happy at all. The art is phenomenal but the whole rape shit accidental pregnancy is not it for me. I don't mind omegaverse but how an author utilize the trope is what I want to see as a reader but they went for the rape, accidental pregnancy and fucking manipulation. Fuck this manhwa.
