While her behavior WOULD be found in people irl, the author forgets that a story MC needs to be appealing. Being absolutely depressed and even delusional is NOT appealing. TikTok and Twitter bishes might disagree tho, not sure. :v
ikr! i get that MC is like that due to her trauma, that’s the only reason why i’ve read it this far incase it gets better; but it hasn’t. it’s hard to even want to keep reading because of how boring and depressive she is, lol. i thought this would be an interesting read since i got recommended to read this from tiktok but nope TT

I actually think she got WORSE within 10 chapters or so. That realization was a step forward but then POOF: That never happened bitch, I'mma be super-depressed from now on! >:D
I think it's the lack of writing skill in terms of nuances and other details that make it so unappealing. Especially since her behavior sums up to literally just: me be negative now.
Sure, people like her ARE realistic, but nobody wants to read about realistic depression/trauma in a 'princess gets happy life' comic that does NOT deliver the vibes of a serious-toned, depressed and super realistic trauma-tackling story.
There needs to be SOME twisting it and working with positivity to make her appealing. (Funny haha chibi moments in random places are not helping.) Especially as the main character; if there is nothing else of interest and the MC is unappealing, people will likely not read.
If this had some grant plot that had me thinking I want to see where this goes, I'd maybe stick around just for that (probably skip literally anything before tho, ngl). But that isn't the case. The hint of the guys being manipulated by magic to feel adoration/care for her isn't enough. It's predictable enough to be of zero interest to me tbh.
I have read tons of plots with trauma characters. Many authors fail to depict them realistically, most actually use it like a trope they give NO care to, few portray them absolutely perfectly. It's a hard topic I think this author wasn't ready for.
