I think Masaki's case is pretty rare, since usually the alpha genes should be dominant. I see it happen a lot in omegaverse stories even when it's a Beta x Beta couple. There are times where the kid end up presenting a completely different gender than their parents even if one gender is really dominant from the both of them.

I think part of what some people find appealing about this manga is that normally Chika would not be attracted to a child and he doesn't want to hurt the kid, so I think people like seeing him trying to protect him for something they both have very little power over. Though...in real life, theres a lot more that he could do. First would have been to talk to the kids parent and explain the situation and have supervised visits to insure safety. As long as this manga doesn't condone making moves on a child, which so far, it doesn't read to me that way (especially with the author making sure to show us him beginning to lose his grip and thus the mom coming in to remind readers that might go with the flow that it is in no way okay). But I'll still have to see what happens...

It feels....immature, and....it is different from the type of manga I read and enjoy. I've read manhuas before, Totally captivated is my favorite yaoi book, but so many of the new manhuas are just so ugly and a turn off.

So when the character is graduating middle school hes actually 14-15 years old ^^ Elementary school goes until 6th grade in japan. The thing is, Take is just too mature for his age. I don't think Kento fell in love with him because of his age or anything. From what I am seeing, the relationship they have is more than physical attraction. There is sexual attraction, but their love did not arise from that in the beginning. To be fair, they didn't date when Take was 12. They didn't kiss (with Kento kissing back) until Take was 13 or 14, and they didn't have sex until he was 15. I am really bothered by statutory rape that occurs too often in yaoi, but I personally felt this was well done. Kento is really aware of the fact that Take is young and practices self restraint because of it. As a mother to a little boy, I get ragey with a lot of yaoi's underage/statutory rape storylines, but I feel like if I were Take's mother, I would support how Kento approached it. But maybe I am wrong. I don't know. During the waiting period, they spent so much time apart, not seeing each other for moths at a time. Even if they kissed a couple times, the time in between was crucial, because it showed that their feelings were genuine, and they were not just drowning in the heat of the moment. I get why it is upsetting to some, but I just wanted to point those things out in case it helps. I really think Yamomoto-sensei made a considerable effort to be sensitive to the subject.
I'm sorry, but I cannot, for the life of me, think it's appropriate for a 25 year old to date a 13 year old. Just because they got married when she turned 18 doesn't make it okay. I really hope things do work out for them, and that their love is genuine, but the 25 year old should have waited. Statutory rape is against the law in most places for a reason. That said, I do hope that now that your friend is an adult, her love with her husband has reached a healthy place and that they are so happy.
