valid. in the first chapter we see Baekwoo on his laptop redoing drafts and basically wanting nothing to do with the prince. his friends were caught up with royal gossip but Baekwoo's focus is on his school tasks. for his studies to be called a hobby after all that is just disrespectful
It really shows how little regard the prince had for Baekwoo. He only âlovesâ him on his terms, but wonât lift a single finger to help him achieve his dreams or be more comfortable if he doesnât directly benefit from it. Heâs extraordinarily self centered in the classic âIâll do anything you want unless it interferes with what I wantâ mentality, which is of course exacerbated by the power imbalance
even more so that it's an omegaverse story with Baekwoo being ignorant of his second gender until recently. this is why in a comment i mentioned that i was fine (neutral) with the way Baekwoo and the prince currently are. it shows how different their backgrounds are and that there's room for character development should they start to influence each other and maybe then we can see characters that readers can actually adore. in all honesty we can't blame the prince for being the way he is. if real life taught us anything it's that power imbalances are unfair and frustrating. this is why i really hope this story will progress in a way that actually resolves that part between the characters. but let's see i guess. with omegaverse in the mix there's no telling just where the focus will be
