I think the story could've been better if it hadn't been so rushed and also not filled with Jaehyun doing "business". Too much smut to the point it started to water down the story.
The ending is lackluster but it's expected. You have two people who used each other for their own gain, no real admiration or romance had evolved between them, just an obsessive pattern. They were the epitome of "Mess with me and I'll get you back tenfold".
Not only replacing Taejun with a new assistant from Sangwoo's company , Sangwoo showing Taejun the relationship between them was most likely an attempt to cut the final ties of any relationships Jaehyun had left.
Sangwoo achieved his goal. He's at the top while he also has the reigns of JH's life.
