am honestly glad the manhwa is going towards fbis direction.. if i remember correctly in the novel the parents didn’t rlly apologise to edith, but now they’re being v sweet so that’s good to see
Exactly, i love this ending where she didn't had to 'prove' her innocence for once and that the characters actually changed their behaviour because of her course of actions
The only thing is that it was not developed well. It feels like they flipped a switch and despite being bad majority of the story, they’re suddenly nice at the very end (author changed it in order to make them both look better so people won’t be mad at them).
It would’ve been better if it had shown that they changed over time rather than last minute

Well it’s not really brainwash? It was influence, which just has some affect on them. But they still cared a lot for lize even after she lost her influence over them. That’s what happens after they spent years seeing her grow up like a daughter to them. In the novel, even when they knew about lize trying to frame Edith- they still did not want to punish her, and didn’t punish her much. (This was all after lize lost her power)
How you can tell it’s not brainwashing is that cliff still likes lize even after she lost her influence over him. He doesn’t care what she did. And killian also started acting on his own even when lize didn’t lose her influence power yet. So that influence power is not full control, it’s only up to the person
