i donât understand to me chapter 38 was pretty legible?? what is everyone complaining about??? i mean speaking as a korean translator myself (i have two other projects so i donât have time to pick this up) itâs hard enough to translate as a native speaker... holy not to be rude but some of yâall sound entitled af and that ainât it

Fella, the only thing people are asking for is consistency. Yeah it free, yeah it's time and work for the translator and we are all mad grateful to those merciful lords. But if as a translator you engage yourself in a work at least read the novel if there is one so your traduction makes sense, follows the narrative and the manga's style but if you can't just don't and let someone who will be able to do it because clearly they are people out there ready to do it proprely (the 37 previous chapters are a proof).

chapter 38 is easy to understand...but only if you're familiar with the novel in my opinion
most of the details of the story were lost in the translation for this chapter which is why so many people are confused and feeling lost at what was going on. I only knew what was happening because I read the novel and could tell through the images portrayed what part of the story we were in (especially since Aria's sugar monopoly is one of my favorite parts of the entire story)
however, for new readers, as someone else has pointed out, this chapter is confusing and actually frustrating. They might have some clue of what went down, but they don't have the full picture, leaving them with a bare suggestion of a story they were once familiar with
imo, translations should produce value to a story. If readers can't understand what's going on in the manga, they feel as if they just read stuff off of Google Translate instead of reading stuff from an actual story. The value is then lost when fans of the manga can't understand what's going on anymore and have to rely on outside summaries to understand the chapter.
I envy the translator's ability to read Korean and take the time to translate that on a manga, as I understand that requires a humungous amount of effort to do. However, if the translator wants to bring the best value to their service, my constructive criticism to them would be to find a native English speaker who can help make their translations understandable for English audiences. That way, the translator would be able to showcase the story they admire to fans without getting lashback for the disconnect that this translation has been causing

yeah but consider that even if this was google translate, the uploaded already went out of their way to do the translation and typesetting for them. itâs still better than their own efforts, so the complaining only seems whiny and bitchy at best. if they have a problem with it, why donât they google translate the chapters themselves?
i get it. im not saying this translation is perfect. but people need to stop feeling entitled for something that is FREE and something someone posted bc of nothing but GOODWILL. to say this is a crappy translation isnât constructive criticism.
people like the ones in the comments here are the reason why projects get dropped or why translators quit. god, weâre doing this, i would like to reiterate, for FREE and yâall still complain????? if you want a âââbetterââââ translator than just go find one, no need to unnecessarily bash the uplodeder

If you're a translator yourself, then you should know that it's kinda rude to just snipe another project when the group never announced that they were dropping it. 11-12 days of inactivity is not that long for someone to just assume that a project was dropped. Also... for someone else to criticize someone else's work (that wasn't even posted yet so what is there to criticize) when their work is kind of subpar itself.. idk it's kind of rude
wtf is going on with 704 love triangle
I think Yama is just a teaser, he wanna see geumsun on edge lol
