I mean I agree it’s beautiful art and it’s not at all the illustrators fault that ml is bad and yes if you don’t like it don’t read it but everyone is entitled to their opinion and it’s not without reason they don’t like the plot he did a shitty thing that’s supposed to make the reader uncomfortable and make him unlikable that’s just what the author was trying to do not to mention SA as a plot device has to be extremely well written and essential to the plot itself for it not to be a cop out or shitty writing especially between the main characters so it’s understandable that it’s not sitting well with some readers we know that morally it’s wrong but some books do great jobs at dark themes to build characters/ plot or even just a redemption arc but it’s okay to not like something and it’s okay to not be able to handle certain triggering elements and voice your opinion that literally the point of having discussions

And I don’t think the understanding the point of my comment. It’s ok to dislike the content but returning every week when a new chapter drops to repeat your dislike is annoying and tiring. We heard yall before, no need to come every week and repeat y’all selves. My second point is, the same people condemning the manhwa and Matthias are so reading toxic manhwa with g’rape, abuse and other toxic themes. Just calling out the hypocrisy. When I take a look at the contents in y’all library, its worst than CBYB.

Well that’s compulsion and a completely human reaction it’s why people finish bad series it starts of good it has beautiful components or a beloved character that makes you want to stick around you root for them and enjoy the art it’s why people watched all of game of thrones even though it declined and ended badly bc they are already to involved and invested that they want to see it through and hope it gets better it’s natural and it’s hypocritical for you to complain about complaining as well as giving an opinion to shit on others for theirs you’re judging people for judging a book and there’s just as many people who are complaining about them as there are complaining about the plot and yes they are discussing their opinions each week bc it’s a new chapter and there’s more to talk about unpack and unload there’s something new every chapter hence the comments literature supposed to be thought-provoking and controversial that’s why you discuss it and ofc there gonna talk shit if there’s more shit to talk about don’t you think it’s annoying that every time they voice their displeasure that it’s met with this pick me I’m not like other readers attitude especially when your argument of if you don’t like it don’t read it could be literally applied to their comments

No I do understand the point of your comment and the contention behind it and while I agree with some points the others are just invalid just bc someone doesn’t like the book your enjoying you go to their page to see what else they’re reading is weird you’re putting your self on a pedestal bc you don’t agree with their opinions or what triggers them like it’s a fact that the ml is shitty and keeps getting shittier that the authors whole point and its okay to say he’s shitty it’s okay to not like or to criticize his actions and behavior it doesn’t mean they aren’t enjoying the book as a whole or not appreciating the art some characters are unlikable/shitty and that’s okay he’s meant to make people react that way he a complex character he’s supposed invoke these feelings and controversy I personally enjoy books that have dark undertones but sometimes they just don’t do it for me or go to far or just plain unenjoyable it’s sometimes just the way they are written or how it’s carried out or the effects it has on the characters or plot there are some lines people won’t cross, and sometimes people didn’t know they could cross they always blur bc it’s opinions it like I love scary movies horror has been one of my favorite genres since I was a child I don’t really have a problem with most plots and gore but I refuse to watch Terrifier because the premise to me just seems like torture porn and I’ll voice my opinion but I’m not gonna shit on other people because they like it maybe I’ll question some things but people like what they like and criticize what they don’t
