This could've been sweet, but I HATE the trope of the old elf in a little girls body. And not only that, but she basically groomed the guy since he was a child.
What?? Where did you get that??? I thought she picked him up, took care of him for a bit, let him go and he came back of his own choice. When did grooming happen???
Went back and had a look. So she saved his life when he was in danger and he wanted to become a hunter strong enough to help her. She only spent those moments with him. He left, became a hunter and when strong enough, went back. No grooming. Hope this helps :D

I read around 230 chapters of the WN and I mean, this is a power fantasy with harem in it, most writers of this genre can't really write women. I must say I've read more agrigeous cases than this one, in this you can almost get through most of the bad characterization and weak story arcs. Though after a while it does get pretty annoying.
I can't read this anymore, especially after the baffling changes in season 2. I have to say, the WN is better, not that it's saying much, since it's already pretty bad to begin with. The best parts of this story is the selection process, so much so that the author goes back to it later on. But everything else it's pretty generic.
The MC is such a train wreck, smh. You have this amazing power and you still end up an idiot and a gambling addict.
Am I the only one that didn't like how the story developed? After Will left his home the story seems to lack focus and everything feels very rushed. Also the new characters pale in comparison to the three undead. It's like someone else wrote those initial chapters.
I was excited to see the anime adaptation for this manga, but unfortunately it was pretty bland. This story really works better in written form with Sei's inner dialogue. The animation didn't even try to elevate the material, all we got was stiff faces and lackluster magic scenes.
The art is bad, but the story somehow is worst.
