The MC is not able to pioneer her own life because of fate. Eris's fate is to die trying to kill Helena, this is why she badly wants out of there. She has a family she cares about at home, she's not ready to simply die and let go of them. I'm pretty sure this has been empathized on with all the suicide attempts and the sorceress saying she needs to kill Helena to fulfill Eris's goal or whatever if she wants to go back home. This manhwa is not like the others where the MC lives however she wants with no consequences. It's more similar to Villainess Maker where time goes back if the MC doesn't act as a villain. (btw if you haven't read villainess maker i 100% recommend it, it's a great story)

But, I wouldn’t call him a dickhead, I’d call him oddly naive and ignorant, but definitely not a dickhead. He wanted support in a time of his own need, and he came out to his sister, because what? He’s naive and ignorant as shit, he couldn’t see what his sister was going through, she was stressed, but he still dropped this massive weight on her.
