If this is anything like the original, he killed the parents, yes. But the congressman who the kid killed is the one who paid him to do it. So he didn't kill them to get the kid, he killed them to further himself and chose not to kill the kid even tho he was suppose to. And what he means by saying he'll do anything to get what he want while it's flashing back and forth between present and past is it's showing just like how he was willing to kill off the kids family to further his career he is willing to do shit just as fucked up now to keep the him. So keeping the kid alive back then was a whim but now it's turned into a goal to keep him.

Plus it doesn't help that seme has never said he was genuinely interested, he just says it's fun. Fun isn't permanent. Fun doesn't keep a relationship alive. The seme just gives vague answers or avoids the question all together. I'm ready for the break up arc and for seme to actually take the relationship seriously.

I personally think its good she held back. Our little lord is still wary of her, and has been around enough abuse. So as much as i would have enjoyed her beating the nannys ass, it makes more sense not too. MC is a recovering ppl pleaser and her prioritizing building a good relationship with the little lord and removing him from a traumatizing situation instead of making it more traumatizing (bc witnessing violence is just as traumatic esp since he is still skittish around the MC) is the more responsible thing as an adult.
I would like however if on a seperate occasions she does do more to the nanny when little lord isnt around and him find out after the fact that way he knows she will protect him when theyre together but also when they arent. This also allows showing protectiveness towards him without involving him in adult affairs.

Im not a fan of him mostly bc he is apparently incapable of respecting the fl wishes, on multiple occasions he calls her mademoiselle when she ask him not too. Not only can his slip up get her into trouble bc she has made multiple enemies but it can fuck up everything thats going on.
Our ML doesnt have the most exciting personality but honestly not being able to respect the FL enough to not call her Mademoiselle is a red flag for me. Continuously crossing a boundary she has made clear

I commented this as a reply to someone a few chapters back but figured it might be helpful for others trying to follow along. Correct me if im wrong but i did go bck to check.
Lieutenant Colonel Lee is the higher ranking Old dude(very distinguishable as he has full gray hair and a hefty beard) who our ML poisoned.
There was two more dudes show along with Gilsoo and they all worked Under Lt. Colonel Lee, one was the dude who originally sent our MC to our ML(Headman Choi) and he got murked bc he was caught in the jail area telling our MC to Kill himself.
Now that Ive gone back again the dude we see now with the order to kill Gilsoo is the Chief Hwang Hoon.
They were introduced in the early chapters like 1-10ch. Hwango Hoo switched sides after lee and choi died between 15ch~20ch.
For more rando context:
Deputy Yoon is the young avg looking dude who works with our ML, you often see him in blue.
For even more context out ML goal here is to purge out or weed out the bad roots in the system. Those who will be loyal and those who scheme. Our ML is essentially just the Kings Blood hound.
