No, you are not confused. Seems to me that one of Chae Heon's parent does own the company. But remember, he is an illegitimate child. The step mom or step dad probably doesn't like him very much for obvious reasons. He has not been "acknowledged" by his rich parent because he is a bastard, literally. So it is save to assume that no one in the office knows who he is and he is being made to start from a low level and work his way up. But clearly, he has not told the uke the truth. In reality, the author hasn't told US either. This is all an assumption I am makes my based on the clues.
So Chae Heon is the actual nepo baby and the uke is a nepo partner, since his partner clearly got him the job.
