I think Yashiro thought he could be the one to maybe save Doumeki from following the same path he did... Like when he told in starting chapter to Kageyama how Yashiro didn't choose to live that way it was just there was no other option for him... There was no one to save him from that dastard pedo or someone to tell him he didn't deserve that and shouldn't continue the same pattern. And when he found that Doumeki was actually a cop and was not cut out to be in his world, see like Doumeki had an option that wasn't available for Yashiro. So maybe he thought he can be that person who wasn't available to him and somehow save Doumeki. He saved(emotionally) his sister too right... And he went through all the trouble of pretending he forgot about Doumeki so he won't have reason to stay in Yakuza. But now he met him again and Doumeki has become fullflegde Yakuza... He seemed angry to me... But damn if Yashiro doesn't become more elegant and graceful and beautiful in every chap...be still my heart(￣ヘ￣;) And Doumeki are you trying a new approach to make Yashiro admit his feelings. Careful there he seemed pretty pissed to me. But well he didn't give his trade mark smile of being angry or something else so there's that too. And maybe since it's Doumeki we are talking about so Yashiro's actually serious angry... And maybe Doumeki undersood what Yashiro was doing and is now proving that he should be the one to determine what he wants to do and Yashiro shouldn't just decide for him or something(as Yashiro told him to quit many times)...whatever it is just make sure you both have happy ever after... ╥﹏╥ Well that was just my emotional mumble that somehow got quite lengthy....

I wish someone would explain why I see people saying that Sawamura is finally the ace in February of 2020 when he's been the ace since October of 2018. Was he just a temporary ace way back then? I just don't think he was, but someone correct me if I'm wrong cuz it's starting to get annoying when I see people going bat shit (not the op) over something that happened almost a year and a half ago. Not a manga, but the novelization of Yokozawa Takafumi no Baii from Sekaichi Hatsukoi is that way. I believe Takano was the uke in their relationship, and then Yokozawa becomes the uke with Kirishima. There are 6 volumes of that.
